Pato elected as MCWD Board’s new chairman
OCTOBER 14, 2024
Engr. Miguelito Pato has been appointed as the new chairman of the Metropolitan Cebu Water District (MCWD) board of directors, succeeding lawyer Jose “Joey” Daluz III, who resigned to pursue political aspirations as Cebu City Mayor Raymond Alvin Garcia's running mate. Pato's term is set to expire at the end of December, giving him just over two and a half months in the role.
Having previously rallied behind Daluz during a political fallout, Pato's leadership began with a special meeting where he was elected chairman, alongside Jodelyn May Seno as vice chair and Ferdinand Pepito as board secretary. The board also reaffirmed its confidence in Edgar H. Donoso as the general manager, with Pato stating, “Edgar remains our trusted leader at MCWD,” ensuring continuity in the district's management.
