Maynilad invests Php695M to expand sewerage network in Parañaque

NOVEMBER 4, 2024

Maynilad Water Services, Inc. is investing Php695 million to install 4.8 kilometers of sewer lines in Parañaque City, serving over 35,000 residents in Barangays La Huerta and San Dionisio. The project, set for completion by Q3 2025, will channel wastewater to the Parañaque Water Reclamation Facility for safe treatment and discharge. To minimize disruption, Maynilad uses trenchless technology and restricts work to nighttime hours.

This initiative is part of a larger plan to improve sewerage infrastructure across key cities, with Maynilad earmarking Php19 billion from 2023 to 2027 to lay 121 kilometers of new sewer lines. The company currently operates 651 kilometers of sewer networks and 23 wastewater treatment facilities with a capacity of 684 million liters daily, underscoring its commitment to environmental protection and enhanced sanitation services in the Greater Manila Area.
