

Gov’t Pipeline Includes PHP2.90-Trillion Worth of PPP Projects

The Philippines has 185 projects worth PHP2.90 trillion in the pipeline, according to the latest data from the Public-Private Partnership (PPP) Center. Of these, 122 projects valued at PHP2.74 trillion will be implemented by the national government, while 63 projects worth PHP159 billion will be handled by local government units. The majority of these projects will be concentrated in key regions such as the National Capital Region, Central Luzon, Calabarzon, Ilocos, and Cagayan Valley. Among the largest projects in the pipeline are the PHP497.27-billion North Long Haul Inter-Regional Railway, the PHP200-billion Maynilad Water Services Revised Concession Agreement, and the PHP171.78-billion North-South Commuter Railway O&M Project.
Other significant projects in the pipeline are the MRT-7 Airport Access, Cebu Monorail, and Metro Manila Subway. President Marcos has directed a focus on accelerating infrastructure development, prioritizing projects like regional airports, port expansions, and the Metro Manila Subway.
